Pure polyurethane dispersion

Solvent borne polyurethane coatings are known for their toughness and flexibility, two very important criteria for a good film performance.   But their major disadvantages are toxicities of the solvents and isocyanate cross-linkers they use, and the difficulty to use in a 2-pack coating system.   Pure polyurethane dispersion (PUD) is a water dispersion of pre-polymerized polyurethane polymer made from one or more isocyanate monomers.  Coatings properly formulated with PUD have lower toxicity and are easier to apply in a 1-pack waterborne system, while preserving the great film performance properties of their 2-pack solvent counterpart.  Besides coatings, some PUD can be used in formulating shoes adhesives, in manufacturing artificial leathers, in processing textile and nonwoven, as well as in a wide range of industrial applications.

We supply a selected series of pure PUD for a variety of coating applications.  These PUDs can be used to provide excellent performance in clear or pigmented architectural, wood, floor, and metal coatings.  Click below to check out our products.
