Product Description and Uses:  Xanthan gum, a microbial biopolymer produced by the Xanthomonas bacterium, is normally produced by fermentation.  It is widely used as a natural thickener and matrix stabilizer in the formulation of food, feed, personal care, household, medical preparations, and many industrial products.  It is also used as thickener in oil field recovery water and many other industrial applications.
